This is valesa!
valesa unleashes the potential of Business Intelligence for the real estate industry. We identify potentials, develop solutions, and accompany their implementation from the idea to daily practice.
At home in the real estate sector
The real estate sector is our entrepreneurial home. Valesa's founders Paul Brüning and Robert Scholz have more than 15 years of combined industry experience. Our core expertise lies in helping real estate companies master their challenges faster, more efficiently, and more effectively. This is what we do.
And Business Intelligence is how we do it. For us, BI is not an end in itself, it is an array of tools - powerful tools that will profoundly change our industry. We are excited to be a part of this transformation, helping to shape the future of our industry with valesa.
One of valesa’s first innovations was developed by Paul Brüning and Robert Scholz during their time at BEOS AG. What started with the idea of automating a wide range of reporting processes quickly developed into „BEOS in a Pocket“. The name says it all: Today, you can fit BEOS AG as a company in your pocket. All of the company’s data is digitised and visualised, allowing the company’s employees to evaluate every relevant piece of data with nothing more than a cell phone. The project won the 2021 Innovation Award and finished as one of the top 3 contenders for the 2021 Immobilienmanager Award.
Building on the success of "BEOS on a Pocket", Paul Brüning an Robert Scholz then developed a comprehensive digital ecosystem for BEOS AG's parent company, Swiss Life Asset Managers Deutschland in 2020. This time, however, as a fully cloud-based system. THe development of these two solutions was a formative experience for Paul Brüning and Robert Scholz and one of the inspirations that led to the founding of valesa.
Paul Brüning studied Business Administration, completing the first phase of his degree in the USA. Upon his return to Germany, alongside his studies he worked for a consulting firm that specialised in real estate investments, where he was involved in the conception and structuring of indirect real estate investments and the creation of complex forecasting models. In 2015, he moved to BEOS AG, where, as a fund controller, he was initially responsible for monitoring and analysing financial data and arranging debt financing for open-ended real estate special funds for institutional investors. In 2017, as a business analyst, he was entrusted with the conception and development of a data warehouse and the further development of data analytics infrastructures within BEOS AG.
From 2020 onwards, in close collaboration with Robert Scholz, Paul Brüning was primarily responsible for setting up a data warehouse for Swiss Life Asset Managers Germany (SLAMD).
Having studied mathematics, Robert Scholz began his career in 2013 as an actuary at Hannover Re, where he was involved in developing a database for the automated evaluation of the company’s life insurance portfolio. In 2015, he switched to Deutsche Bank’s Quant Institute, where he developed data-driven risk assessment models. From 2018, he established the risk management team at BEOS AG.
In 2018, he made a name for himself with “BEOS in a Pocket” and was subsequently appointed to set up the cloud BI solution for Swiss Life Asset Managers Germany (SLAMD) in partnership with Paul Brüning.
